GTT Sports Records Every Point Counts Highest Score Award

Based on the discussion, the committee has decided to update the GTT Record Book with the “Every Ball Must Fight ~ Highest Score Record Award.”

The committee will include the results of the 11th Hua Kang Cup GTT Table Tennis Team Tournament held in March 2023 and recalculate the rankings.

The scoring method will also be adjusted:

Only game scores of 11-3, 11-2, 11-1, and 11-0 can be counted as points. If the game score exceeds 11-3, it will not be counted as points.
11-3 points = 8 points
11-2 points = 9 points
11-1 points = 10 points
11-0 points = 11 points

Example 1:
• If Player A competes against Player B with game scores of 11-3, 11-5, 11-8, Player A’s points are 8 points (the other two games do not count)
• If Player B competes against Player C with game scores of 11-2, 11-3, 11-4, Player C’s points will be 17 points (the 11-4 game does not count)

Example 2:
• If Player A competes against Player B with game scores of 11-3, 11-5, 11-8, Player A’s points are 8 points
• If Player C competes against Player D with game scores of 11-2, 11-8, 11-9, Player C’s points will be 9 points
• And Player C’s ranking will be higher than Player A’s (even though Player A’s performance in the other two games was better)
• Only when the points are the same will the scores of other games be used as a reference for ranking.

The committee will also invite the winners to attend the “Every Ball Must Fight ~ Highest Score Record Award” ceremony, and the date will be announced separately.

sorry for any inconvenience

We hope everyone will fight for every ball and play table tennis to the end.
