
Malaysia delivered an outstanding performance at the SEA Youth Table Tennis Championships 2026, emerging as the Overall Champions after securing an impressive medal haul of 7 golds, 3 silvers and 5 bronzes.
This marked Malaysia’s second overall championship title in the tournament’s history, following their previous triumph in 2024. The young Malaysian squad showcased their strength across multiple categories, claiming victories in the Under-19 Boys’ Doubles, Under-19 Mixed Doubles, Under-15 Boys’ Singles, Under-15 Boys’ Doubles, Under-15 Girls’ Singles, and Under-15 Team events.
Among the standout performers was Mohd Dania Elisha Airul Hafis, who captured the Under-15 Girls’ Singles title, highlighting the rising potential of Malaysia’s next generation of table tennis talents.

Malaysia Table Tennis Association (TTAM) national coach Beh Lee Fong expressed her pride in the team’s achievement, sharing that the squad had not expected to become overall champions but was delighted with the result. She credited the athletes’ dedication and the team’s preparation, including centralised training ahead of the competition.
The remarkable achievement reflects the continued growth of Malaysia’s youth table tennis programme and the emergence of a promising new generation ready to compete on the international stage.
